Electrostatic speakers and headphones are known for their clear natural sound, beautiful authentic tonality and uncanny sense of realism. This is possible because electrostatic drivers are very light and can be easily controlled by the amplifier in a uniform way, thus they can respond immediately and accurately to the music.
New Low Mass Electrostatic Driver
The Sonoma Model One is the world’s first headphone to use a High- Precision Electrostatic Laminate Transducer. This patented electrostatic technology has produced a driver that is lighter, more consistent and more durable that any previous electrostatic. As a result the M1 takes electrostatic technology a step further and delivers ultra-high-resolution and breathtaking transparency previously unavailable in any headphone design.
64-Bit Precision
While most competitors use the standard 24 or 32-bit DSP, Sonoma processes all signals using custom 64-bit double-precision fixed-point arithmetic. 64-bit arithmetic is very powerful and exceeds even the performance of professional audio workstations. By using 64-bit technology Sonoma is able to control the frequency response with high accuracy and without adding noise or losing fidelity, and achieve
extended dynamic range, perfect left/right matching, and very low distortion throughout the entire range of listening volume.
Wear Them For Hours
Music lovers want a headphone that is comfortable and not fatiguing after the first hour of listening. The M1 starts with the finest Cabretta sheepskin leather, known for its light weight, durability and softness, then adds light-weight magnesium ear-cups, rather than the usual aluminum. The light-weight magnesium makes the headphones more comfortable to wear while also providing a better seal for improved bass performance and better RFI/EMI shielding for a cleaner sound.
