Auralic Merak Mono amplifiers
MERAK is an amazing monoblock power amplifier born for the 21st century. It is the perfect combination of inspiring artistry and ingenious design. AURALiC create MERAK by merging the sophisticated amplifier design philosophy with modern audio technology, and dressed it up with a compact appearance.
The heart of MERAK is AURALiC Hybrid Analog Amplify technology. By joint using it with ORFEO Class A output module, input isolation transformer, linear power supply and several latest technologies, AURALiC has successfully brought the design essence of analog age back to life. With the new generation of switching technology, MERAK achieves 400W continuous output power while maintains its efficiency at 90%. Benefited from linear power supply and a 56,000uF capacitors array, energy storage of MERAK is more than 120 Joule, this enables MERAK to deliver 16 amps peak current which equal to about 900W power into large, power-hungry loudspeakers, easily presenting the magnificence of stage, reproducing the tiniest detail of music to you.
The sound of MERAK is sweet, warm and vivid with great artistic appeal; it fulfills AURALiC’s elegant and graceful aesthetic taste. Thanks to the Hybrid Analog Amplify technology and power management circuit, MERAK realizes the perfect balanced between driving capability and energy consumption. Comparing to the other traditional power amplifiers, MERAK is more environmentally friendly by reducing the carbon emission of 1100kg per year, making it to be another nova of ‘green’ hi-end equipment.
Auralic Taurus MK2 Headphone amp
The smooth, rich and detailed voice of TAURUS MKII is a succession of AURALiC’s elegant and graceful aesthetic taste. Referring to Neve analog console’s circuit design, AURALiC invent the ORFEO Class-A output module and fit them into TAURUS MKII. The ORFEO module offers great driving ability by delivers 1000mW (600ohm) to 4500mW (32ohm) power into various loads; this allows TAURUS MKII to squeeze out every headphone’s capabilities, unfold the beauty of their unique sonic style.
Resorting to the ultra low noise input buffer tailored by AURALiC, TAURUS MKII has a wide dynamic range greater than 130dB while maintains the output noise less than 5uV. With such astonishing performance, TAURUS is able to capture the most tiny music expression coming from the source component.
The TAURUS MKII builds on the design of the original award-winning TAURUS, launched in 2010, by concentrating all surface-mounted components in an audio signal patch. It also increased the TAURUS’ EMI shielding, reducing noise from the input buffer to 0.8uV, less than half the level of the original. Additionally, AURALiC improved the input switch circuit to increase the isolation among different input channels, which boosts performance when the TAURUS MKII is connected to multiple sources.
Smoothed music expression, sophisticated circuit design and brilliant appearance; TAURUS MKII is another exemplary works designed by AURALiC.

FBA-800 Pure Class A Power Amplifier
The FBA-800 is our most advanced power amplifier. The floating bridge design combines four 20 Watt amplifiers in a single stereo chassis and provides several key benefits. Each channel consists of two amplifiers working as voltage amplifiers driving an output stage of bridged power transistors. The advantages are a low noise floor, better power output relative to the voltage rails (x2) and with the fixed current of the class A mode, low output impedance and better load tolerance.
The Power amplifier is D.C. coupled, with a servo lock, ensuring excellent low frequency detail. For safety purposes the amplifier includes a D.C. protection circuit. This circuit is statically switched using extremely low impedance Mosfet switching devices. This circuit also soft switches the power amp on and off. The power supply is a low impedance design with a single custom made bi-filar wound transformer, with four separate windings. The main smoothing capacitors for the output stage are specially developed for professional audio applications with excellent ripple characteristics and long life. The Four power transistors per channel in the output stages are multi emitter devices with an output capability of 26 amps per device. The FBA-800 operates in the full balanced mode from the input of the unit to the output
VTL MB 185 Series III
Following the footstep of the MB-450 Series III, the MB-185 Series III Signature monoblock has gone through the same technological improvements as its bigger brother. The upgrade to the Series III platform is extensive with a complete rework of the signal path and new features added while retaining all the user friendliness of the previous model such as automatic tube biasing and comprehensive fault sensing. Upgrades include a fully balanced differential input stage driving a differential phase splitter and a lower impedance push-pull output stage. Also new is a shorter, faster and fully balanced negative feedback loop, with zero global negative feedback. The negative feedback loop completely eliminates ringing and requires no capacitor compensation to maintain critical phase integrity and information. The result is an amplifier that remains stable even under the most demanding loads. Another significant change to the MB-185 is the switch to EL-34 tubes. Long admired for their rich, natural and open sound, the EL-34s bring a distinctive new sonic signature to the amplifier that emphasizes the integration and inner details of music. The output transformer has been completely redesigned and carefully matched to complement the midrange purity and quick, taut bass of EL34s. There is also a new user adjustable Damping Factor Feedback control that allows the user to adjust the amplifier’s output impedance by varying the amount of negative feedback. Impedance can now be precisely set to suit the listener’s taste, and to improve control of the loudspeaker loads to deliver best performance. The 4 possible settings are: LOW – Lowest damping factor, good loudspeaker control, most natural sound. MED – Better loudspeaker control, with some impact on sound quality HI – Best loudspeaker control, with a little more impact on sound quality, but on speakers that need the control the sonic improvement is clear MAX – Maximum damping factor, but sonic impact is noticeable
VTL S-200 Amplifier
VTL’s legendary Signature series has long been valued by music lovers who seek outstanding sound at a fair price. The new S-200 takes that proposition to a new level by including VTL’s latest technology in a space saving single chassis design. All the features and functionality of the renowned MB-450 and MB-185 Series III Signature monoblocks are built in, but in a package costing significantly less. With top quality parts, a fully balanced design, and innovative engineering, the S200 offers a listening experience unparalleled at this price. This 200 watts/channel stereo amplifier is packed with technology VTL has spent years developing. A fully balanced differential input stage drives a differential phase splitter and a lower impedance push-pull output stage with a custom made, fully balanced, interleaved and coupled output transformer. Like its stable mates, the amplifier incorporates VTL’s SmartTube technology with automatic bias adjustment and fault sensing, making this amplifier especially welcome to music lovers who value ease of use. With the S-200, there’s no need to guess when or if a tube may need to be replaced. To keep the output tube operating point constant and stabilize the critical power supplies, even under AC and main power supply fluctuations, the S-200 deploys adjustable precision-regulated bias and screen supplies, yielding tonal stability and sonic integrity especially during complex, dynamic signal conditions. The S-200 also features a user adjustable Damping Factor feedback control that allows the user to adjust the amplifier’s output impedance by varying the amount of negative feedback. Impedance can now be precisely set to suit the listener’s taste, and to improve control of the loudspeaker loads to deliver best performance. The 3 possible settings are: LOW – Lowest damping factor, good loudspeaker control, most natural sound. MED – Better loudspeaker control, with some impact on sound quality HI – Best loudspeaker control, with a little more impact on sound quality, but on speakers that need the control the sonic improvement is clear The S-200 bears a similar sonic signature to its bigger brother, the MB-450 Series III Signature monoblocks. The mid bass authority and control is excellent while the midrange and top end reflect natural timbres and instrument colors effortlessly. The amplifier’s agility and speed, its very low noise floor, and its ability to drive a wide range of speakers are distinct features that few other tube amplifiers in this price category can offer. Pair it with VTL’s TL5.5 Series II preamplifier for one of the most compelling and seductive sounds available anywhere close to the price.
